Welcome to our brand new website to celebrate our 75th anniversary in 2006. This website has been created by members of the unit past and present from all sections.
St Michael’s Scout group have been in existence for over 75 years.
We are based in Dun Laoghaire, a coastal town approximately 10km south of the city centre of Dublin. We have many amenities right on our door step with shops, supermarkets and various forms of transport such as the dart and ferry. Dun Laoghaire is a major ferry port with at least two sailings to Holyhead in the U.K each day.
We are in the nice position where we own our own Den which is available for use by other Scout groups from home and abroad all year around. If you wish to stay with us click the link and drop us an email and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Our Scout group caters for both boys and girls between the ages of 7 years to 18 years of age. We are currently taking part in the pilot scheme of a brand new scouting programme that is to be implemented nationwide in the next few years.

While most traditional Scout groups comprise of a Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Ventures and Rovers section we have Trackers, Explorers, Discoverers and Rovers under the new pilot programme. For further information on our different sections please click the links.
You can check out a diary of all our various activities in the diary page on this website. This part of the site is updated most regularly with submissions from members of each section.
Our Den is located at 52 Patrick Street in the heart of Dun Laoghaire and no further then a 10 minute walk to all transport services and other amenities such as the cinema and shopping centre’s. |
